The sale already started, three weeks before Halloween

Black Friday 2026 falls on November 27. Cyber Monday is November 30. If you wait for those dates to buy a VPS, you will miss roughly half the season, because the hosting version of Black Friday now stretches from mid-October into December.

Hostinger has already confirmed its 2026 sale window: October 19 through December 14. RAKsmart opened its Double-11 plus Black Friday campaign on October 15, running to November 30. CloudCone is running a ninth-anniversary promotion right now with annual plans from $14.24, stacked on top of its Halloween lineup. None of this waits for the last Friday of November.

The thing is, the vendors do not all discount at the same time, and the deepest cuts do not appear on the same day either. This guide lays out what is live right now, what history says will get cheaper, and where the catches are. All prices below were checked in the first half of October 2026.

What is live in October

Hostinger, the only officially confirmed Black Friday sale

The KVM 1 plan sits at $6.49 per month with 1 vCPU, 4 GB RAM and 50 GB NVMe on AMD EPYC hardware. The catch is the renewal: $11.99 per month once the promo term ends. The sale runs long, from October 19 to December 14, so there is no urgency premium inside that window. What there is, historically, is an extra stack during Black Friday week itself.

RAKsmart, the Double-11 heavyweight

The 2026 campaign runs October 15 through November 30: Silicon Valley and Hong Kong VPS from $1.99 per month in the flash-sale section, NVMe VPS annual plans from $39.9, dedicated servers from $29.9 per month, top-up bonuses of up to 5x credit, and a $300 new-user coupon bundle. Alipay, WeChat Pay and PayPal are all accepted. For buyers on Chinese payment rails this is the earliest big event of the season.

CloudCone, two overlapping sales

The anniversary offer puts a 1 GB storage VPS with 4 TB traffic at $14.24 per year, which is cheaper than RackNerd's current entry. The Halloween Frankenstein series starts at $20.25 per year recurring for 2 cores, 1.25 GB RAM, 30 GB SSD and 4 TB of traffic, with the top tier reaching 12 cores and 17 TB monthly traffic. CloudCone prices recur at the same rate, which matters more than the sticker.

HostDare, a recurring 25% off

Code XY604XMHXK takes 25% off the Los Angeles SSD, HDD and NVMe lines, recurring on every renewal, starting from $19.49 per year. Annual orders get free double RAM and double monthly bandwidth, so a 2 GB plan can land at 4 GB RAM and 4 TB traffic. Japan SoftBank and Bulgaria lines have separate 10% recurring codes. The Los Angeles CN2 GIA lines are excluded from the discount but in normal stock.

Vultr, credit instead of discounts

Vultr does not really do Black Friday pricing. What it does is new-user credit, currently $100 to $250 depending on the signup channel, valid for 14 to 30 days. Hourly billing across 32 regions means you can spin up, test and destroy without commitment. If you need a lab machine for two weeks, this is effectively free.

November 11: the window most Western buyers forget

Double-11, the Chinese shopping festival, has become a real VPS discount event, and it lands two weeks before Black Friday.

BandwagonHost is the name to watch. The community coupon codes floating around, things like BWHCGLUKKB, tested as expired in early October carts. Annual list pricing is already about 17% below monthly. But in 2025 the vendor ran a sitewide 11% off for Double-11, which historically beats its own Black Friday offer. If you want CN2 GIA-E bandwidth and 2.5 Gbps ports, mark November 11 on the calendar, not November 27.

RAKsmart's long campaign is engineered around this date too: the 5x top-up bonus and coupon bundles peak during Double-11 week. Stock on the flash $1.99 tiers does sell out, and it does not always come back before Black Friday.

What actually bottomed out before, and what to expect

Nobody can promise 2026 prices. What you can do is look at where each vendor's floor sat in 2024 and 2025 and treat that as the realistic target:

  • RackNerd: current specials run $21.99 per year for 1 GB RAM with 3 TB traffic. The 2024 Black Friday floor was $10.76 per year for a similar tier. Expect the low double digits again in late November.
  • CloudCone: hit $9.99 per year on Cyber Monday 2025. The current $14.24 anniversary price is decent, but the late-November flash prices have historically gone lower.
  • HostDare: went to roughly 65% off during a past Black Friday, about $9.1 per year. The current 25% recurring code is the safe choice if you keep servers for years, since it discounts every renewal, not just the first term.
  • ScalaHosting: up to 80% off managed cloud VPS from October 30 to December 1 in 2025. Currently around 66% off, with the entry plan at $13.45 per month on a 36-month term.
  • Liquid Web: 50% off for two months, starting late October in past years.
  • Cloudways: mid-November start, 50% off three months.

The pattern worth internalizing: annual-budget vendors (RackNerd, CloudCone) put their floor in the Black Friday to Cyber Monday stretch. Managed and premium vendors (ScalaHosting, Liquid Web) open earlier, late October, and hold. Chinese-market vendors (BandwagonHost, RAKsmart) peak on Double-11.

The renewal trap, in actual numbers

Here is the problem with most Black Friday VPS deals: the advertised price is a first-term price. The real cost shows up at renewal:

  • Hostinger KVM 1: $6.49 per month now, renews at $11.99. An 85% jump.
  • ScalaHosting entry: $13.45 per month on a 36-month term, renews at $39.95. Nearly triple.
  • Verpex unmanaged: $12 per month, renews at $20.
  • Hosting.com: $6.49 per month, renews at $19.
  • InterServer: $3 per month per slice, renews at $3. Same price, monthly billing.
  • RackNerd and CloudCone annuals: renew at the same yearly rate.

So the vendors split into two groups. The first sells you a cheap first term and makes it back at renewal, betting you will not migrate. The second keeps the price flat forever but collects it annually. For a box you plan to run for three years, a $21.99 recurring RackNerd annual beats a $6.49-for-six-months plan that triples, every time.

Recurring promo codes sit in between. HostDare's 25% code applies to every renewal, which over five years beats a deeper one-time discount. Read the offer page for the word "recurring" or "renews at" before you put anything in a cart. If neither word appears, assume the price goes up.

One more math check people skip: prepaid annual prices quoted as monthly equivalents. A $21.99 per year plan is $1.83 per month, but the full year is charged upfront, and refund windows on budget hosts are short or nonexistent. Only prepay for hardware you have already tested elsewhere.

Rule of thumb: same-renewal annuals are safe to buy any time they appear. First-term discounts are only worth it if the renewal price is one you would still accept.

A week-by-week plan

Now through October 19

Take inventory. Decide which boxes you actually need, what OS, which region. Test drive providers on hourly billing, Vultr credit or CloudCone's hourly SC2 line, before committing to an annual. Buy nothing except same-renewal deals, because everything else may reappear cheaper.

October 19 to November 10

Hostinger's window is open but not yet at its deepest. ScalaHosting and Liquid Web typically open their campaigns around October 30. If you want managed hosting, this is when the field is set; compare, but the deepest managed cuts have historically arrived inside this stretch, not on Black Friday itself.

November 11 week

Double-11. BandwagonHost's sitewide discount, RAKsmart's peak bonuses, and assorted Chinese-market flash sales. CN2 GIA stock is finite; when the cheap tiers sell out they stay out, sometimes until Chinese New Year.

November 24 to 30

Black Friday week. RackNerd and CloudCone flash tiers, Verpex and Bluehost gift-card bundles, last stack on Hostinger. Flash stock at the $10-per-year end goes in hours. Set a calendar reminder for the vendor's own announcement page rather than an aggregator, because affiliate sites often list last year's prices.

December 1 onward

Cyber Monday leftovers, then the market goes quiet until Christmas cleanup. A few vendors extend to mid-December, Hostinger all the way to the 14th. After that, the next reliable discount window is Chinese New Year.

Who should not wait at all

If a server is earning money right now, waiting six weeks to save $11 a year is false economy. Provision today on hourly billing and stop thinking about it.

If you need China-optimized routing, the calculus differs: CN2 GIA capacity is scarce year-round, and the Double-11 and Black Friday tiers are usually small allocations. Waiting for a deeper discount on a tier that then sells out is the common failure mode here.

And if you are buying your first VPS at all, do not start with a three-year prepay regardless of how good the math looks. Buy one month of something recurring, learn to administer it, then commit. The cheapest server is the one you do not abandon in March.
